Jeffery Walraven has served as MedEquities Realty Trust’s (MRT) Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since its launch. MRT was founded in 2014 raising $165 million of institutional equity capital via a 144A offering. Subsequent to that, MRT completed an IPO on the NYSE in September 2016 raising $265 million of institutional equity. To date, MRT has deployed over $600 million of capital in acquisitions of acute, post-acute, and behavioral healthcare real estate.
Mr. Walraven has 27 years of experience serving several public REIT clients. Before the establishment of MRT, Jeff held many positions with BDO USA, LLP, culminating to the position of Assurance Managing Partner of the Memphis, Tennessee office, where his primary responsibilities involved providing core and peripheral assurance services and business operational and tax consulting services.
Mr. Walraven has worked extensively with publicly traded companies on all aspects of compliance with the Securities Act and Exchange Act filings. He has had engagement partner responsibility for numerous public and private securities offerings by REIT’s and other clients, including initial public offerings, secondary offerings, and private placements.
