Chad Beste is a partner within BDO’s Healthcare Advisory practice and a member of the BDO Center for Healthcare Excellence & Innovation. He has over 30 years of healthcare, insurance, operational, and financial management experience and provides organizations strategy, implementation, turnaround, and M & A services.
Chad advises health systems, physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, PE, and other healthcare providers such as skilled nursing facilities and home health agencies on emerging trends and related implications. He has been instrumental in helping healthcare providers achieve efficiencies and greater patient satisfaction through value-based care models, including bundled payments, PCMH related models and ACO development, capitation, and provider-sponsored health plans. He has assisted numerous clients in getting ready for the new CMS BPCI-A program along with various commercial payers.
Chad has also helped numerous physician practices aggregate and form more competitive models within a number of specialties such as orthopedics, urology, obstetrics/gynecology, gastroenterology, dermatology, primary care, and multi-specialty organizations. He continues to serve as a strategic advisor and participates in numerous boards for these organizations assisting in such areas as managed care contracting, ancillary services development, value-based care models, and working with private equity firms.
Additionally, Chad has assisted many hospitals and health systems with physician-hospital alignment strategies, interim executive management, and turnarounds related to their employed medical groups. He has counseled ambulatory surgery centers, skilled nursing facilities, and home health agencies related to managed care, provided assessments, and strategic direction. Chad previously served as a partner of PBC Advisors, LLC, which joined BDO in February 2018. Prior to PBC, Chad served as VP of Business Development for MedPartners, and its succeeding organization in Chicago, The DuPage Medical Group. He played a lead role in both acquiring and divesting various physician practices. Prior to MedPartners, Chad worked for Aetna Healthcare in a variety of sales management and network management roles. During his tenure, the plan tripled its membership and doubled the number of participating providers in Aetna’s Chicago network. Prior to coming to Chicago, Chad was the General Manager of Aetna’s Minneapolis market where has was responsible for all sales and customer management activities.
